Clarify.ai presents itself as an autonomous CRM, designed from the outset around artificial intelligence. Where a traditional CRM is content to be a passive database, Clarify is a co-pilot that automatically records your meetings, enriches your contacts, updates your pipeline and writes follow-up emails or notes.

The Seattle-based startup raised $15 million in early 2025 and has big ambitions: to take on Salesforce and HubSpot, no less, with a more modern, fluid, AI-centric positioning. On paper, the promise is seductive. In practice, the tool is still young and rather limited, but its original approach is well worth the detour.

We’ve tested it and here’s our full review of Clarify.ai.

Our opinion about Clarify.ai in brief

Perimeter Score Our opinion
Overall rating 4,0 Clarify.ai is a young but promising CRM. Its original positioning and its real use of AI in salespeople’s day-to-day work make it very appealing. On the other hand, it is still rather limited on certain fundamentals such as analytics or advanced automation, which clearly makes it better suited to small teams than mature structures.
Getting started 4,5 The user experience is very successful. The interface is clear, modern and the AI’s “co-pilot” logic is quickly understood and works overall. Even users unfamiliar with traditional CRMs can adopt it without much difficulty.
Integrations 3,2 The ecosystem is still limited. Basic needs can be covered with Zapier and the API, but native integrations still lack depth. This means that as soon as a team has a slightly more complex stack (marketing automation, customer support, etc.), Clarify quickly shows its limitations compared to HubSpot or Pipedrive.
Automation & AI 4,3 Clarify.ai makes full use of AI to simplify the day-to-day work of sales staff: automatic recording of meetings, one-click notes, enrichment of contacts, drafting of emails or proposals. These functions are already very useful, but would benefit from being complemented by more advanced automation (multi-channel sequences, automated nurturing, etc.).
Analytics 3,0 Reporting remains too basic for teams who want to seriously manage their sales activity. Clarify lets you track a few simple metrics, but it doesn’t yet offer the depth of analysis found in the established players. Let’s say it’s good enough for a small team, but not for a demanding sales department.
Value for money 4,0 Pricing, based on credits rather than the number of users, is a real advantage for startups: everyone can access the tool at no extra cost per seat.
Support 3,8 Support is responsive and documentation covers the basics. But, as is often the case with a young tool, some advanced questions have not yet been clearly answered, or we’ll have to wait for the product roadmap to evolve.

How Clarify.ai works in 3 minutes

Clarify.ai takes the codes of a classic CRM, but adds a layer of artificial intelligence designed to automate data entry and updating.

In concrete terms, the tool automatically records your meetings (via Zoom, Meet or Teams), generates a transcript, extracts key information, then enriches contact records and updates the sales pipeline in the background. Where a traditional CRM asks you to fill in everything by hand, Clarify tries to do the work for you.

AI also plays the role of co-pilot in content production: it proposes drafts of follow-up emails, deal notes or even drafts of sales proposals. The aim is to save time by reducing the writing load, without locking the user into fixed templates. You can edit, correct or validate in a matter of seconds.

The operation is based on a fairly simple model: you connect your existing tools (calendar, mailbox, visio), and Clarify begins to collect and organize the information. Sales reps no longer have to “fill in the CRM” (a task often experienced as tedious), but simply use a feed already enriched by AI. The tool automatically organizes your data around deals, contacts and accounts.

That said, it’s important to be aware of its current limitations. Clarify doesn’t yet handle the advanced automation you’d expect from a full CRM(multi-channel sequences, email campaigns, complex marketing workflows). Analytics also remain very basic: you’ll get simple pipeline tracking, but not the sophisticated dashboards of a Salesforce or HubSpot.

What Clarify.ai does really well

  • An original positioning that changes the game. Clarify doesn’t want to be yet another CRM where salespeople spend their time filling in boxes. Its promise is simple: transform a passive CRM into an active co-pilot, automatically capturing, enriching and organizing data.
  • Practical use of AI. Meetings are automatically transcribed, deal notes and follow-up emails are generated in a few clicks, and contact records are enriched in the background. In Clarify, AI is everywhere.
  • A modern, fluid user experience. The interface is clear, modern, fast and designed to be adopted even by young teams or those unfamiliar with traditional CRMs. You don’t need a 50-page tutorial to understand how it works.
  • An attractive pricing model for startups. The fact that we don’t bill per user (the classic model used by CRM publishers…), but per credit, is a real advantage for small structures.
  • Significant growth potential. With $15 million raised and an ambitious roadmap, Clarify has the means to rapidly fill its functional gaps. For early adopters, it’s an opportunity to test a young, fast-moving tool.

The limits of Clarify.ai

  • A product that’s still too basic. Clarify offers a fine vision, but in reality the tool remains limited: no multi-channel sequences, no advanced automations and a functional scope that’s still limited compared to market standards.
  • Insufficient reporting. Analytics boil down to a few simple pipeline metrics. Impossible to segment in detail, track performance by lead source or analyze conversions in depth. For sales management, this is too little.
  • Integrations that lack maturity. Zapier and the API cover basic needs, but native connectors remain rare and sometimes unstable. To integrate properly into a CRM + marketing automation + support stack, you’ll have to tinker.
  • A still unclear credit model. Consumer pricing is attractive, but the definition of “credit” is not transparent enough. It’s difficult to anticipate the real impact on the bill, which can quickly lead to frustration.

Offers & Prices

Clarify.ai adopts an original model: billing is not per user, as with most Sales CRMs, but via a credit system.

Each action (recording, transcription, enrichment, email generation, etc.) consumes a certain number of credits. This makes it possible to open up the tool to the whole team without seat limits, but also makes it more difficult to project the actual bill if you don’t yet have control over your volumes. This is the other side of the coin.

Plan Rate (annual) Credits included Key features Ideal for
Free 0/month 2,500 credits/month Basic standalone CRM, integrated AI, unlimited seats Discover the tool and test a few use cases without commitment
Starter 20/month 5,000 credits/month (+$20 for a further 5,000 credits) All basic AI functions, API and Zapier integrations, unlimited seats Startups or small teams who want to use Clarify on a daily basis
Growth On request Customized credits Migration from another CRM, advanced security, dedicated support Fast-growing teams or scale-ups with structured needs

Verdict

Clarify.ai is a young but promising CRM. Its strength lies in having turned the problem on its head: rather than multiplying functionalities and waiting for sales reps to fill the CRM, it proposes an autonomous approach where AI does the work in the background.

We’d recommend Clarify.ai if you’re a start-up or a small, technophile sales team looking for a modern tool to simplify your day-to-day life. The tool has the merit of being affordable (both in terms of price and ease of use), and is rapidly evolving.

We wouldn’t recommend Clarify.ai if you’re looking for robust CRM reporting, multi-channel automation or seamless integration into a mature marketing and support stack. For the moment, Clarify is clearly no substitute for HubSpot or Salesforce.
