If you're looking for easy and accessible CRM software, Freshworks can be a smart option: accessible rates best in class experience. With Freshsales you should not be faced with an overly steep learning curve, your sales team will appreciate the time saved. The solid lead generation & lead management features will also come in handy for your marketing team. Freshsales is an excellent option for B2B SMBs but it can also scale really well to much bigger organizations, with excellent reporting & automation capabilities. It'll fall short in a few areas, specifically customer support doesn't have the best reputation – But if you know where you're going and what you need a CRM for, Freshworks should definitely make it to your shortlist.

Our review of FreshSales: an easy to use but powerful CRM software

The tool is divided into 7 environments to allow your sales people to navigate easily between the different tabs:

• Activity dashboard: Get an overview of your different activities and deals.
• Prospects: Import your prospecting files and follow the evolution of leads.
• Contacts: Get a global view and complete information on each prospect.
• Accounts : This tab gives you an overview per company of the situation and not per contact.
• Business: Track the progress of your leads through the sales funnel and their potential via an intuitive Kanban view.
• Conversations : A tool for lead generation and tracking interactions between your team and your leads.
• Reports: Access intuitive dashboards for detailed reports and business performance indicators.

The dashboard

The dashboard is intuitive and allows you to follow your different activities at a glance. You have the possibility to synchronize your emails and calendars so you don’t miss anything. This tab also gives you the possibility to make tasks or appointments, which is very useful in your daily management.

Lead management on FreshSales

The contact display in Freshsales CRM is very easy to use and provides a lot of useful information. Once you have entered a contact, the platform automatically populates it with data from the company’s website and social media accounts. You can see the value of each contact to your business and view recent messages and social media posts at a glance.

In addition, the view management drop-down menu allows you to display leads according to their date of addition, or their progression in your sales funnel.

A word about lead scoring on FreshSales

Freshsales will automatically assign a score to each contact based on their past engagement with your company. You can sort and filter contacts based on their score, so it’s easy to prioritise your communication tasks. If your sales team is segmented by geography, Freshsales CRM can automatically assign leads that you import or that sign up via an online form to the right salesperson.

The CRM offers you a 360° view of each customer and allows your sales representatives to prepare their sales meetings & to facilitate the preparation of sales proposals.

Another success of this interface is the management of the sales funnel. It works like a kanban board, with the ability to drag and drop deals between the “New”, “Tracking”, “Under Review” and “Won” categories. In addition to making it easy to see the stages of your deals’ progress and value, salespeople can quickly and easily filter by customer, rep, value, etc.

A major advantage of Freshsales CRM is that your sales team can perform almost all their communication tasks without leaving the software. The platform integrates with most major email clients, including Gmail, and all incoming and outgoing emails are synchronised with both systems. Emails are automatically linked to the appropriate contact for the follow-up of each deal.

To make emailing faster and more efficient, Freshsales CRM has several different tools. There are customisable email templates to speed up simple communications. In addition, you can sendemail campaigns to an unlimited number of contacts in your database. You can even see who has opened your emails and when, and receive real-time notifications when an email is opened when you are expecting an important return from a prospect.

Freshsales CRM also offers an integrated phone call solution, with automatic call recording. As with emails, call recordings are automatically saved to contacts. Even better, you can take notes on a call and these are also saved for the contact to remind them of what was said the next time you contact them.

FreshWorks CRM offers 3 pricing levels, all of which you can try for 21 days.

• The Growth package costs £29 per user per month. It provides access to a Kanban-style sales funnel view, a lead scoring system, the ability to make calls directly from the CRM via “Freshcaller” and access to the API and integrations. This plan includes up to 1000 contacts. After that, it costs €25/month for each additional 1000 contacts.
• The Pro plan, priced at €69 per user per month, allows you to automate up to 50 workflows and therefore waste less time on repetitive tasks. It also includes the ability to segment users into teams (up to 10 teams) and geographical areas, set up sales sequences (up to 10) and customise user permissions. The plan includes up to 3,000 contacts.
