When it first came onto the market, Kompass served as a business directory, bringing together a wealth of information. Little by little, new functions were added to the tool, enabling you to prospect in a much more targeted and therefore more effective way.
Today, we’re going to focus on the BtoB solution developed by Kompass, called Easy Business. Software that integrates with various CRMs, is reliable and has the advantage of being usable on smartphones. A tool that comes with a hefty price tag, but which nonetheless provides qualitative data that is regularly updated. We’ll take a closer look at this software in the rest of this article.

Easy Business, Kompass’s BtoB solution, gives users access to an extensive database. Information and contacts from representatives of nearly 40 million companies are available, enabling you to target your prospecting more effectively.
Some sixty criteria can be used to better define your target, including geographical criteria, business-related criteria (recruitment, company size) and financial criteria (sales, objectives).
Refine your search on the vast Kompass database to create more effective prospecting campaigns. Company information (sales, figures) and prospect information (address, e-mail) are presented as up-to-date, making segmentation easier to achieve, but above all, more effective. Searches can then be saved and exported.
Kompass for managing your email campaigns
The Easy Business tool lets you create email campaigns. The integrated module offers numerous email templates that can be selected and optimized. A method of operation similar to that of conventionalemailing software.
The user creates a campaign by selecting a list of recipients. The email template is selected and reworked (both body and subject) before being sent.

On paper, Kompass and its Easy Business BtoB tool offer a wide range of prospecting functions, enabling you to better target your prospects and develop your business.
Getting started with Kompass
Kompass is a software package that doesn’t really require installation. All these tools are easy to use, even if the user experience leaves something to be desired. Indeed, the interface design is not necessarily adapted to the needs of salespeople, even though the tool is fast and highly functional.
An Easy Business application is available. It lets you manage and expand your portfolio from anywhere, provided you have Internet access. You can geolocate nearby businesses, create action reminders and thus contact new prospects.
The software is functional, fast and relevant. Even so, the interface is somewhat outdated and could do with some work.
Kompass integrations
The Kompass tool doesn’t offer many native integrations, apart from Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics and Hubspot. For the rest, there’s an API that lets you integrate the tool into your own software.
This makes it possible to search and consult data and information on the companies in the Kompass database, which are listed under the Kompass classification. This concerns up to 12 million companies. This enables you to develop functions for searching and displaying information about your prospects, directly in your software, whether it’s a CRM or an application.
Kompass offers native integration with some of the most popular software packages used in the business sector. An API is also available.
Kompass customer service
Kompass customer service is available by chat, phone or email. However, many of our customers have reported that their answers were either not given at all, or were out of sync with the question asked.

Kompass’ customer service is poorly perceived, not least because of its slow or non-existent responses.
Customer reviews on Kompass
It’s quite rare to get positive feedback onprospecting tools. Indeed, companies are still rather cautious when it comes to talking about the many ways of finding customers.

- Database supplied: The Kompass database is relatively large, with over 40 million companies.
- Tacit renewal: “Sales people make you sign contracts without telling you that there’s a tacit renewal, and the year after, even if the service didn’t suit you, they send you an invoice.”

Kompass rates
Easy Business is available in SaaS format. Prices start at €1,490 ex VAT per year. For on-premise software, you’ll need to calculate between €16,000 ex-VAT / year and €30,000 ex-VAT / year.
It is also possible to purchase information files. The price may be perceived as rather high, but the quantity and quality of the data are emphasized.
The price can be seen as a little too high. And yet there are plenty of features to justify the expense.
